Medical imaging results will be automatically added to the electronic patient record and visible by all clinicians. Providers will order medical imaging electronically in the CST Cerner clinical information system using computerized provider order entry.
Medical imaging reports will also be distributed to community physicians through the Excelleris system, available to any community health care provider at no cost.The Medical Imaging design/configuration team is defining diagnostic imaging-specific and intra- and inter-department workflows. This includes work list management and image and results distribution.
