Access Models: The Data Awakens

As part of Privacy and Security Awareness Week 2016, the VCH Privacy Office is collaborating with UBC to host Access Models: The Data Awakens, a privacy conference on June 6, 2016 focused on access to health information for research and other secondary uses. Amongst other prominent speakers, Dr. Henry Lowe from Stanford University will present about his experience spearheading the creation of STRIDE, the Stanford Translational Research Integrated Database Environment, an innovative and successful research and development project to create a standards-based informatics platform supporting clinical and translational research.

We look forward to a lively and engaging conversation as privacy leaders come together with leaders from the health sector, universities and members of the public to discuss how we can support important health data analysis and research while ensuring the protection of the privacy of individuals.
